Keep Going
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Character take time to develop, and it’s rarely a comfortable process.
Integrity means making difficult decisions, even when you may not want to.
Humility can taste real sour at first, because it feels like a loss.
Wisdom often means putting aside immediate satisfaction and striving toward something we can’t exactly see yet.
Serving can leave us feeling unnoticed, unrecognized, and unappreciated for a while.
Forgiveness doesn’t seem fair in a time where revenge is easily found at our fingertips.
Love, real love, is a long, slow journey that brings us far beyond how we feel, and hangs on the choices we make.
All these things are good, and yet they don’t feel very good at the time. However, the promise we have is that our perseverance towards the goodness of Christ will be rewarded. Whether in this life or the next, we will reap harvest if we do not give up.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are the perfect example of goodness. I pray that you would help me strive towards character, integrity, humility, wisdom, serving, forgiveness, love, and all other forms of goodness today and forever. And I thank you in advance for the good harvest you are bringing from it.
