How To See God
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” -Isaiah 40:28
Scripture tells us that God has made himself plainly known to humanity. And yet, so many struggle with doubts of God’s existence, and even more of his goodness. But the realness and merciful supremacy of God is evidenced in his eternal power and divine nature by which he created the entire universe. Every flower, every tree, every cloud, mountain, and sunset paint a picture and sing a song of his Lordship. He is heard in the laugh of a child, the compassionate cry of a friend, or the singing voices of a congregation.
God is not seen the way we as humans are used to beholding someone. He is seen and heard and known in all the beauty, mastery, and grace of his creation. Though he himself may be invisible, his reality is plainly evidenced by what he has and continues to create.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I praise you and thank you for the truth of who you are. I pray that you would open my eyes today to see you in every interaction, in every moment, with every passing glance. You have made yourself known, and I want to know you more.
