Glowing, Sun-kissed, Lit
“Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” -Psalm 34:5
When a woman is pregnant, we tell her she’s “glowing”. When we’ve spent an entire summer’s day outside, we call ourselves “sun-kissed”. When something awesome happens, the kids say it was “lit”.
There is something about light that just makes everything better. The light of Christ shining in our lives is no different. When we turn our attention, our worship, and our lives to God, he will shine his light upon our faces. His goodness, mercy, and love draws us out of shameful darkness and into the glorious brightness of his presence.
His light is not something that needs to be turned on, it simply needs to be turned to.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are always shining bright. I pray that today I would turn my face to you, and that your light in my life would draw me out of darkness, out of shame, away from sin, and into your presence.
