The Greatness of Love

“And now these three remain; faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”                   -1 Corinthians 13:13

Love has the power to bring together good. 

Love has the strength to tear apart evil.

Love is the reason for hope, and the engine of faith.

Love gives life, robs death, and when it’s perfect, casts out all fear.

Love fills what is empty, and pours out generously.

Love lifts us up, and brings hate down.

Love can repair our wounds and shatter our insecurities.

Love leads us to one another and drives us away from selfishness.

The greatness of love goes far deeper than any of us can measure.

With love, the world was created.

With love, the world was saved.

And with love, we will continue to serve it.

PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for being the example of what perfect love looks like. I pray that today, I would allow your love to drive every word, action, thought, and interaction. I pray for a revolution of love in our world. I pray that the love of Jesus would bring an end to all bitterness, violence, hatred, and evil.
