This Little Light Of Mine
“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” -Matthew 5:16
Light does not need to be manufactured. It isn’t the result of a long process where if you follow all the proper instructions, include all the ingredients, then light is produced. It can’t be pushed, pulled, muscled, or forced. When you have a light, the only thing to do is let it do it’s thing, shine.
The light of Christ burns within all of us who call Jesus our Savior. When that light is not visible to others, that isn’t because it isn’t there, it’s because we’re aren’t allowing it to do what it was meant to do. Light was meant to shine, and our job is to allow that process to occur in our lives. When we allow our light to shine, through service, good deeds, encouragement, and love, we help others see Jesus more clearly. Don’t hide the light within you today. Let it shine.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank you for your goodness and light that is within me. I pray that you would help me to allow your image and likeness to shine through me today into the hearts of others, and that they would be drawn closer to you as a result.
