Love > Sin

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” -1 Peter 4:8

Love is the antidote for evil. It is the highest calling we receive as people of God. It was with love that God created the world. It was with love that he formed human beings. It was with love that he sent his only son. And it was with love that Jesus hung on a cross and rose from the grave to save us from our sins. 

This is the love we are called to. A love that creates worlds, that reminds people of who they are. It is a sacrificial love that chooses to give grace. Our love cannot provide forgiveness for sin, but it can be so thick and vibrant, that sin is no longer visible because it has been blanketed with love.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you or being the example of perfect love. Help me to model that love in every moment, and in eery interaction today.
